When we were first designing our "Smooth Operator" safety plungers we were pretty aggressive with the radius. On the 9mm safety plungers this resulted in an issue with the firing pin striking the plunger. While it still fired it had a tendency to damage the plunger.
 
Testing with the .45 Smooth Operator did not show the same results but we decided to err on the side of caution and just reduce the radii on both.  
 
However we had already made a few hundred of these before making the change.
